We’re all surprised when the DOJ issued a warrant of arrest to Senator Ping Lacson in his alleged involvement to the Dacer Corbito double murder case. The warrant was dated 4 February….. too late because the senator has already left the country. Nobody really knows where he is right now. As a former police officer, Senator Lacson is probably in a country where the Philippines has no extradition treaty.
Alam ninyo, dalawang haka haka lang naman kung bakit umalis si Senator Lacson. First, it’s an admission of guilt and another is that he’s innocent. His lawyers are saying that he’s unfairly prosecuted but I don’t buy that. He’s a very influential. His has a clout and resources and he could well protect himself by hiring top caliber lawyers. If he’s really innocent, he should submit himself to our justice system. The trials would take years but if he’s really innocent, he’ll be cleared. Siguro ayaw niya lang talaga makalabuso. For a former police officer, being jailed is the most humiliating experience. Kung noon siya ang nagpapakulong, ngayon siya naman ang ikukulong.
