Damn if you do, Damn if you don’t

Damn if you do, Damn if you don’t. If a leader will just listen to everything he hears, he’ll never accomplish anything. In the end, they will just criticize the leader, especially in front of the TV. That’s the attitude of Filipinos. No wonder, we lagged behind our ASEAN neighbors. There’s only one thing we’re good at, criticizing. Pag trabaho na for the good of our country, wala na! After the infamous massacre of 57 people, militants and grandstanding opposition politicians were easy to condemn that the government is not doing enough. They accused the government and our uniformed men of cover up. They want results and fast.

They never thought that getting evidence from the crime scene is a painstaking process. Aside from that, you’re not only talking about a single criminal but a whole clan with goons and dozens of private armies. When PGMA declared Martial Law in Maguindanao last Saturday, our Armed forces were able to confiscate high powered fire arms and war machines at the Ampatuan Mansion. They also arrested the elder Ampatuan and the ARMM Governor.

Kaya you’ll be surprised na naman when the ML was imposed on Maguindanao. Those who clamor for swift action are now marching on the streets opposing the ML. They’re telling people that PGMA is doing the Makoy. One critic even boldly said that PGMA’s a Makoy worshipper. Of course, opportunistic opposition leaders and politicians who want to grandstand are there too, peddling baseless intrigues. Even if the government will take the usual or extraordinary ways to lock up the suspects, there will always be people in the streets chanting anti PGMA and anti ML. They will never be pleased regardless of what the government will do.

If I were PGMA, I’ll just declare a Martial Law covering the whole Philippine Archipelago. Buti yang ikulong yang mga dissidents na iyan nang tumahimik naman itong ating bayan. Tingnan ninyo noong panahon ni Makoy, isa lang ang bida, si Makoy lang. When Cory took the reins of power, biglaang nagsulputan ang mga bida. Hindi lang si Cory ang bida at dumami pa kaya nagkakagulo. Everyone wants to be ‘bida’. In the end, all the succeeding presidents are the kontra bida.

martial law i think is ok but in the case sa declaration ni arroyo it was unconstitutional.. there were no legal basis of its declaration, she assumed na my rebellion wherein there's none..

another thing on regards with the ampatuans, if they were charged for rebellion the penalty ma lessen as compared sa multiple murder na nacommit nila.. so the declaration of ML might be another diversion for the adnvatage of the Ampatuans.

whaha..
