NAIA’s Power Shortage

Last Sunday’s Power Shortage in NAIA is another international embarrassment. This only proves to the world why investors should avoid pouring in their capital into the country. Authorities don’t even have a back up plan on how to avoid and solve power failure.

How would the tourists and businessmen feel if their flight is diverted to another airport? If you’re a tourist, your hotel confirmation will be cancelled and you’ll end up paying penalties. If you’re a businessman on the other hand and have a very important meeting, there’s a chance that a very important deal will be compromised. God knows how those passengers from the diverted flight have felt. These things happen because of the irresponsible people running the NAIA.

Even without the power shortage, NAIA has been an embarrassment to the country. The Terminal 1 is dilapidated and its facilities were not improved. You’ll also encounter Janitors who asks for money every time they give you paper towel at the toilets. There are also immigration officials who harass passengers at will. People of sinister characters can also be found at the airport. That includes the taxi drivers who charge exuberant fees.
