DXB’s new Guidelines

People would raise their eyebrows if they will hear that Dubai, the freest among the 7 Arab Emirates is taking tough stand against what they considered as inappropriate behavior like kissing in public, holding hands, nudity and playing loud music. I wouldn’t be surprised if this edict comes from the Kingdom of the Sands but definitely not from Dubai.

As we all know, Dubai has a diverse culture brought about by different nationalities that lives and work there. The population could be low skilled from Asia to Western professionals. Among the other things, alcohol is served everywhere.

This guideline should serve as a warning to OFWs working there. We’ve learned the hard way (from the past) that laws are laws here and innocence of the law is not an excuse. This is not the Philippines where everyone has an excuse however absurd the excuse maybe.
